Camps

This page lists some of the camps available to our Troop for day trips, overnights, weekend camping, and other activities.

Maine

• River Run Canoe and Camping
  Located in Brownfield, ME, this campground offers canoe rentals and easy access to the Saco River.

Massachusetts

• Boston Harbor Islands
  This national and state park allows camping on a few of the islands right in Boston Harbor.
• Camp Acton
  In Acton, MA, this camp was formerly owned by the Boston Minuteman Council. It still has well-maintained campsites that date back to its Boy Scout days.
• Camp Forty Acres
  Practically next door in Wilmington, MA, this camp may be small, but it’s still a great place to go.
• Camp Lion
  Located in Lynn, MA, Camp Lion is a non-profit camp dedicated for use by various youth organizations.
• Camp Resolute
  This camp in Marlborough, MA is run by the Knox Trail Council.
• Camp Sayre (New England Base Camp)
  Camp Sayre, located in Milton, MA is now the Spirit of Adventure Council’s “New England Base Camp”. The camp offers many Scout programs.
• Camp Squanto Boy Scout Reservation
  Camp Squanto is a 650-acre year-round camping facility located in the woods of the Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth, MA. Directions to Camp Squanto.
• East Boston Camps
  In Westford, MA, this camp was formerly owned by the Boston Minuteman Council.
• Harold Parker State Forest
  Conveniently located in nearby Andover, MA, this state park has several campsites available.
• Nickerson State Park
  Located in Brewster, MA, this state park is right near the Cape Cod Rail Trail, that runs between Dennis and Wellfleet.
• Nobscot Scout Reservation
  In Sudbury, MA, this cap is run by the Knox Trails Council.
• Sweetwater Forest Cape Cod Family Campground
  Located in Brewster, MA, this campground is central to Cape Cod.

New Hampshire

• Camp Wanocksett
  Camp Wanocksett in Dublin, NH is close to Mount Monadnock.
• Hidden Valley Scout Camp
  Located in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH, this is one of the camps run by the Daniel Webster Council.
• Lone Tree Scout Reservation
  Located in Kingston, NH, Camp Lone Tree is an easy drive for the 49ers. Scout organizations can reserve cabins or other facilities at Lone Tree by clicking here.
• TL Storer Scout Camp
  In Barnstead, NH, this camp is part of the Spirit of Adventure Council’s “Northern Nexus”.
• Wah-Tut-Ca Scout Reservation
  Located in Northwood, NH, Wah-Tut-Ca is the “Home Camp” to Troop 49″. Scout organizations can reserve sites or cabins at Wah-Tut-Ca by clicking here. Directions to Wah-Tut-Ca.

Pennsylvania

• Artillery Ridge
  This campground offers the closest camping to the historic Gettysburg battlefield.

Rhode Island

• Camp Yawgoog
  Located in Rockville, RI, this Scout Reservations offers year-round camping.

West Virginia

• Eagle’s Nest Campground
  In Glen Jean, WV, this campground is close to scenic gorges and waterfalls.
