Troop 49
Troop 49, founded in the 1950s, has a long and rich history in Tewksbury (which we’ll add more details about shortly).
We are sponsored by our Charter Organization, St. William’s Roman Catholic Church.
Our Scouts
Most of our Scouts attend Tewksbury schools, but some attend the charter school in Tyngsborough.
We have Scouts who are
- Actors
- Athletes
- Honor Students
- Musicians
When we ask our Scouts what Scouting activity they enjoy the most, the answer is most often “camping”.
Old 49er Newsletter
Our Troop Scribe is working with our Assistant Scoutmasters to publish our monthly newsletter, The Old 49er.
Pictures
Now that we’re in the Cell Phone Age, we’ve got folks taking pictures at almost every one of our events. You can see some of our picture galleries here.
Eagle Scouts
Over the years, many of our Scouts have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. See our Eagle Scout Honor Roll here.
